Before a storm arrives, the agreement establishes the service address, selected areas, snow trigger, salting choices, payment method and other property-specific terms. That signed scope is the operating authority for the season.
A 3 cm or 5 cm trigger is the accumulation threshold associated with the selected snow service. It is not a promise that a truck will arrive the moment a measuring point reaches that depth. Weather, road travel and route sequencing still matter.
Once a qualifying seasonal event is being serviced, customers do not need to create a new booking after every snowfall. That is one of the main differences between seasonal service and finding a contractor storm by storm.
Some properties can have contractual priority. Other stops are sequenced around geography and operating conditions. Route optimization reduces unnecessary travel, but road closures, municipal plowing, weather and safe driving can still affect the field sequence.
Priority does not mean an exact guaranteed arrival time unless a contract expressly says so.
Back-to-back snowfall, blowing snow, freezing rain and prolonged events can extend the time needed to complete a route.

A road plow can leave a windrow after private clearing has already occurred. Windrow handling depends on the signed service scope and should not be assumed.
