Gift Certificate Purchase Terms and Conditions
Version: HSR-GIFT-PURCHASE-2026-10 · Ontario, Canada
1. Product and Service Eligibility
Each gift certificate entitles its recipient to request one standard snow clearing visit for one eligible, straight residential driveway accommodating 1–4 vehicles and one main entrance at a property in Oakville, Burlington or Milton. Salting, municipal sidewalks, additional entrances, unusually long/steep or inaccessible driveways and separate return visits are not included. HSR verifies property eligibility.
2. Service Window
The service is usable for qualifying snowfall events from the actual purchase date through April 14 at 11:59 PM (America/Toronto) of the applicable HSR winter season, as shown on the certificate. The selected storm must begin during that window. Unused certificates may expire under the stated specific-service conditions, subject to applicable Ontario law.
3. Booking and Approval
The recipient must register their certificate, request service at least 24 hours before the forecast snowfall begins, accept the separate Storm Booking Service Agreement including the property waiver, and receive HSR approval. Snowfall generally must meet HSR's standard 5 cm clearing trigger. Availability, route capacity, operational safety and property eligibility apply. An unapproved request does not guarantee service.
4. All Sales Final
Gift certificate purchases are final and voluntarily non-refundable. There is no cash exchange, except where a refund or other remedy is required by applicable law. A Stripe dispute or legal refund right is not defeated by these terms.
5. Completion and Pre-Cleared Driveways
The visit remains unused until HSR records a qualifying completion. If HSR travels to the accepted property and arrives ready to work but the snow has already been cleared, the agreed arrival policy may cause that visit to count as completed. Details appear in the Storm Booking Agreement which the recipient must accept when requesting service.
6. Delivery and Personalization
The buyer supplies personalized names and optional message for a downloadable printable PDF. Following a verified successful Stripe payment, HSR generates a unique certificate code and secure QR registration link. The buyer is responsible for delivering the certificate or link to the intended recipient.
7. Unused or Disputed Certificates
Lost codes can be reissued to the verified purchaser after review. Fraudulent, duplicated, or disputed payments may be temporarily suspended while investigated. HSR retains appropriate service and transaction audit records.
